The divinity was a gift to a cousin whose mother made divinity at Christmas time. Your divinity brought back a lot of fond memories and was deemed to be "just like Mom's!" High praise!
My mom used to make great divinity the old-fashioned way without candy thermometer, just cooking to 'hard-ball stage'' but, my own efforts always turned out like nougat instead of light, fluffy goodness. This divinity tasted like hers....great!!
